Identification

Verification of identity is achieved by finding if there is a record of a particular person in different data sources. This proves that a person is known in the community.
Edentiti provides a user-friendly interface to allow an individual to select which publicly available data sources they wish to use to verify their identity and to securely input their relevant details. These sources range from State and Federal Government organisations to the big players in insurance, telecommunications and health funds. Edentiti's approach is a user-centric one, meaning that the individual is at the centre of the process and driving which of their data is and isn't checked against the online sources.
There will always be individuals that struggle to verify their identity using the online sources, especially if they haven't lived in Australia for long or if they're young and have just moved out of home. To ensure that everyone can get verified, Edentiti also allows individuals to upload other types of documents that may not be available as online sources. These documents are then reviewed online by the organisation requesting verification before the person's identity is verified. In this way, Edentiti allows an organisation to get all of their legitimate customers verified.
